We Were Talking was my first recording project as leader, and producer Jeff Reilly graciously gave me free rein over every aspect of it. As such, it's a wild mixture of solo marimba, Zimbabwean thumb piano, electronic experiment and contemporary jazz with two great musicians at my side - Mike Murley on saxophone and Bill Brennan on piano.
